Buffalo Ridge Golf Course welcomes golfers of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the challenge of a nine-hole course spread throughout 69 acres north and east of Kearney. The layout of Buffalo Ridge provides long par three holes along with difficult par four and par fives offering an opportunity to work the ball. Fifteen sand traps are strategically positioned around the tree-lined course to test your shot accuracy.
You may walk or ride the course. Rental pull carts and golf carts are available. Restrooms, benches and a shelter are positioned on the course for your comfort. A conveniently located driving range allows you to work irons and woods when you don’t have time to play nine or 18.
Kearney’s first public golf course, the Fox family began construction of Buffalo Ridge in 1964 and the grand opening occurred in August 1966. It remained in one family for three generations until 2023, when it was purchased by a group of local golf enthusiasts who have fond memories of playing Buffalo Ridge. Today, the group plans to enhance course conditions and to preserve a family-friendly, fun and casual atmosphere for anyone who loves to golf.
